My doctor just prescribed me the butrans 5mcg strength patches that last 7 days how long will it take before I feel the affects of it once I put the first one on

I've been on the patch for 3 years and I've never had an issue. I started bleeding week 2 of my patch and I haven't stopped bleeding for 12 days. My dr said it shouldn't be an issue as it's the first time it's happening and to continue the patch as normal. The bleeding Started out as a normal period and now is very light ( enough to fill a pad) with bright red blood. Almost like a glossy texture. I've already done preg tests all come out neg. why am I bleeding...

In January I lost my insurance and had to reapply. I did so and got it in Feb. I had my skip week as normal the 4th week of Jan, but didn't have another patch for the 5th week... Now I'm behind. It's the 3rd week of February and I've started my period..While on the patch. So what should I do??

After being on a pill taken every 4-6 hours for chronic back pain. My PS has started me on 5mcghour patches to be changed every 7 days. I was wondering what is the quickest I can expect to get relief, and if when applying the patch for the first time is there one application site better than another for the first patch being this is the one we need to work the quickest. Right? And also are there any tips on ways to lessen the irrigation of the adhesive on the patch when applying it to the skin?...

I've read about not using the patch if you have thyroid problems. My doctor hasn't said anything and still given my the patch. Has anyone else got under active thyroid and use the patch
